I have a passion for trading the markets, running, hiking mountains, and overall self improvement. Each interest serves a purpose in my life and I believe that is the key to finding success in trading and different parts of life. Without purpose you cannot focus on developing the proper plan and process which leads to that purpose being fulfilled.

I made my first trade while in college in late 2006 with $1000 of my savings on GOOGL before it exploded higher from 200 to 250 in a month and I have been hooked ever since. Over 13 years later and I have learned through various different types of market environments. I have spent time as a proprietary trader for a equity trading firm, and also as an analyst for a Fortune 100 company. Trading stocks, options and futures I have developed a preference for the options market as it affords flexibility and capital efficiency. With the right strategies and risk management I enjoy finding high probability trade setups that lead to an edge over time. I am mostly a technical trader that prefers to trade with the trend because that leads to the least frustration and a calm state of mind. I also utilize volume profile tools and pure price action to stay objective on what the market wants to do. Finally, keeping track of sentiment through the psychology of market participants helps me identify where most traders might be trapped and thus on the wrong side of the market.

3 Peaks Trading is a place I want to share my thoughts and ideas I have learned and continue to develop my process as a trader, and hopefully helping cut down the learning curve for others on the same journey.
